I love fall

My dad just got in town from Hawaii for a few short days, and since fall doesn't look like this in Hawaii, we decided to go into the canyons to enjoy the fall colors. Here are a few pictures we took while we were up there. It was so beautiful.

I love fall!

This picture cracked me up. Look at Lizzy's pose in the front. I'm not sure where she got that from.

awindowsillview said...: ok, this might be really wierd...but did your dad come in on a flight early yesterday (Fri) morning around 8:00 am??? because I swear your dad looks just like the man who sat next to me and he was coming only for a short visit to see family - you have to let me know if that was him! love the fall pictures...i was just thinking of taking my kids up the canyons for some fall pics.; October 4, 2008 at 8:18 PM

Top things to know about us- 2007

Sarah (age 7)
1. Loves reading so much, she is currently reading the unabridged version of Little Women (520 pages).
2. Can let go of the wall during her ice skating lessons, ski all the way down the hill with out falling, and has learned to sing in about 10 different languages.
3. Scored her first goal in soccer.
4. Such a sweetheart, that she is praying for the mean girl in class to be nicer to everyone.

Joshua (age 5)
1. Can't decide if he wants to be a fireman or an astronaut, because he doesn't know what the fireman's outfit looks like.
2. Pretty sure he doesn't want to be a doctor like daddy, because they wear rags to work. But is still considering it, so he can spend more time with daddy.
3. While working together in the backyard, Mommy commented that the dark purple iris's in the backyard were so beautiful, one minute later, Joshua was holding every single one of them with a one inch stem. He said, "I just know how much you loved them, I wanted you to think of me every time you saw them".

Elizabeth (age 1 1/2)
1. Can count to 9. She says 1, 2, 3, 4, 9. And then she laughs because she knows it is wrong.
2. Favorite words are: NO, cute, pretty, water, and yummy.
3. Loves babies, has to point and yell out "cute" and "baby" at everyone she passes.
4. Loves spiderman.

Kim
1. Has a couch to sit on.
2. Hung a few pictures on the wall.
3. Started playing soccer (Thanks to my cute sister-in-law Wendi, Thanks Wendi), and scored my first goal.
4. Went on a fun cruise to the Baltic Sea, almost had a breakdown when Elizabeth had seizure while we were gone.
5. All of my children are healthy.

Shane
1. Got his tooth knocked back, and a fat lip playing basketball just hours before family pictures.
2.His children say he is the strongest, fastest, smartest , and amazing daddy. What more can you ask for.
3. Is officially a partner in his group (yeah!)

All in all, it has been a great year.
