Catching up

Well Since I haven't updated for a few months here is what is going on. Bella started crawling at 5 months. Well not really crawling, more army crawling. At 5 months 2 weeks she discovered she could get to my bathroom cabinets and start to empty them out when I am showering. At least she smiles the whole time she does it. She was sick with a really bad cold for the last two weeks. Some nights she woke up as much as every 10 minutes, that made for a really long night. The doctor was worried about it turning into RSV. She is over the cold, and has since passed it onto Elizabeth. More sleepless nights.

That brings me to Lizzy. She just had her 3rd birthday party. What a cutie. That child can make me laugh like no other. She does have a little attitude, but is very set in her ways. She has the most amazing imagination. The other day she used up most of our tissues wiping her dogs nose (it is a stuffed animal). Then she said that her dog ate a nasty fly. I told her that was yucky, what did it taste like. She said, "chicken". I don't know where she got that, but she didn't even blink. Every day I have a hard time putting her down for her nap, she has a tea party in her bed, and then doesn't want to sleep in it because it is wet. She went through a phase for a week where she started wetting her pants. I was so frustrated with her. She had been dry for months and then every day she would come running, screaming that she had to go to the bathroom. Finally I took her into the doctor. She was having bladder spasms. I guess she waits so long to go to the bathroom that she stretched out her bladder and when she needs to go it starts to spasm and then just releases. Then she feels like she needs to go all of the time, so she would sit on the pot for hours at a time. Of course the weekend that this happened, Shane was out of town on a snowmobile trip. After taking the medicine, she is doing much better.

Joshua is reading so well, that he makes me sit down and listen to him read a book every day. He has discovered his love for basketball, and goes outside for hours at a time. The other day he made 200 baskets. His new goal is 600 in a day. I'm not sure how he came up with that number, but I think he may have to wait until summer. Shane signed him up for baseball. He had his first practice last night. He was so excited to get a cup, that he shows everyone that walks in the door. He doesn't just show it to them, but he models it. In honor of the experience Shane took him out to lunch when they went shopping for it. Good father son bonding time.

Sarah is getting ready for her ballet, Swan Lake. They have been practicing so hard. One top of that she has a voice performance today, her piano recital on Thursday, and her 15 minute Germany presentation on Monday. It has been a little crazy getting everything together.

Glad to hear the kiddos are all doing well. I hope Lizzie gets over her cold soon so you can get some sleep. She is a crack-up. Don't you just love their age? Can't wait to see ya'll soon.

Fun to catch up on your cute family! Thanks so much for your help with Tyler and for dinner last month. It's been too long since I've seen you. Are you planning to play soccer this summer? Are you going to ride the century ride in Logan? If it ever warms up, I'd love to go walking--6 weeks is a long time to do nothing!
